New blog post finally!!
After moving out of our old place, waiting for the new house to close, and summer semester finishing up, I’ve been a bit busy. But now I’m baaaaccckkkk!!
I’ve got so much I want to talk about over the next few posts so let’s get started!
I really wanted to go thrifting a few weeks ago but I wasn’t sure where. There was an ad in the mail for a place called Park Avenue Thrift. I found some cute skirts and dresses there.
I’ve wanted a tennis skirt for a while now but I didn’t want to pay $60 or whatever American Apparel sells them for. I actually wore it to see Got7 back in July
I’ll post an ootd for that look.
This goes on like a wrap. There’s some clear buttons on the inside then there’s the one on the outside to secure it.
I’ve started keeping an eye out for items that remind me the 50’s and 60’s. This skirt along with a green dress I found gave me 60’s vibes so I had to get them.
I haven’t really thought about what I’m going to wear this with yet. I’m thinking maybe a t-shirt to give it more of a casual look. We’ll see
Closeup of the buckle.
Last skirt I got was a tennis denim mix. I still love denim everything lol.
You can see more of the seams here that gives this skirt a tennis look in the back.
On to the dresses!
I think this is from the 80’s. It’s one of those you don’t think much of on the rack but once it’s on you fall in love in it. It’s really comfortable. I thought it would be perfect for summer but I haven’t worn it out yet.
I love the collar.
I’m such a sucker for floral print.
Next is the 60’s like mini dress. These pictures really wash out the color of this dress. When I wear it I’ll have to take some outdoor pictures. It’s a light green color with white in it.
It’s got all of my favorite things on it; bows, princess seams, pleats and an aline skirt.
Closeup of the seams and pleats.
Closeup of the pockets.
There’s even bows on the sleeves!!
On to my favorite piece.
This is my favorite find. I can’t wait to wear it out. Wearing this makes me feel like an old Hollywood star. It’s lightweight polyester. And it has pockets!!!
Closeup of the collar. The tag says it’s a petite but I think it pretty long for a petite person to wear. I’m 5’8 and the skirt hits my ankle. I guess if you wore heels it would work if you were petite. Or maybe it didn’t. That’s why it got donated lol.
And a closeup of the black buttons on the sides of the dress.
The skirts were between $3-$5 and $5-$7 dollars…so yeah I definitely found a new place to shop♥♥♥♥
